Brachytherapy is one of the most common treatment for localized prostatic cancer, and for good reason -
- only one night necessary in hospital
- patient leaves hospital with no catheter
- no blood transfusions
- risk of erectile dysfunction is lower than that with surgery
- likelihood of urine incontinence lower than after surgery
